Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi in brief
The Frescobaldi’s have been considered Tuscan royalty for over 700 years, and their wines have been savored and enjoyed throughout the ages. In the 14th century, this Florentine family supplied wines to the English royal household and many European courts, including such customers as Edward II and Henry VII. Today, Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi is one of the largest wine-growing businesses in Europe. With over 2,500 acres of land at nine estates, the Frescobaldi’s sell wine in more than 65 countries. Among the wines made under the Frescobaldi name are the legendary Brunello wines, which consistently score in excess of 90 points for each vintage in Wine Spectator.
